Rading Notes: Life of Buddha part E


Howdy again everyone, NitroDubbz back at it again with the white Vans. Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm really back with more of the Life of Buddha. Wow, exciting! Without further ado, let's get it started (haha Black Eyed Peas reference).

Buddha is still in Rajagriha. Sariputra and Maudgalyayana, two Brahma of Rajagriha, become disciples of Buddha. 

A lot of people in Rajagriha don't like the Buddha because I guess everyone is following him and abandoning their families or committing suicide, I'm not really sure, it wasn't too clear. Although I agree. The Buddha sounds like a troublemaker. No society can get by if everyone is just laying around meditating all day. But anyways, everyone decides to stop bullying the Buddha.

Meanwhile, Suddhodhana sends a messenger to Siddhartha telling him to return home. Buddha decides that he will return back to Kapilavatsu.

Then Buddha tells the story of the Crane and the Crab.

Buddha and his disciples were making their way to Kapilavatsu. Udayin decides to go ahead and tell King Suddhodhana that they're on their way. He ends up flying food back to and from the Buddha.

When Buddha arrives he is greeted by his father and told the story of Visvantara.

Week 7 Story: Art Girl Rescue Part 3

"Save me, Alex!" (source) After dispatching the patrols sent on his tail, Alex made his way back towards the outskirts of the village, to the compound of Samu Al-Hayeed. Moving under the cover of darkness, Alex dispatched guards and patrols using nothing but his combat knife.  Finally, Alex reached the perimeter of Samu's compound. The sandy flats surrounding the high wall of the compound were illuminated by blinding floodlights. Machine-gun emplacements flanked the front gate, and the wall was topped by barbed wire. But Alex knew that defenses are only as strong as their weakest link. He circled the compound, staying just out of the range of the floodlights, until he came to the utility pole that supplied the compound with all of its electricity.
